Ash Wednesday

Yesterday was a holiday. It is called Ash Wednesday. It is very important to Catholics. From yesterday to Easter there is a period called Lent. During this time, many Catholics stop doing something.

For example, some people quit smoking, or stop eating chocolate, or try not to drink alcohol.

I think it is a strange thing to do. If something is bad, we should stop as soon as possible. If it isn’t bad, then we should keep doing it. What do you think?
