Saturday morning I was hit by a car while cycling. The car did not stop before entering the roadway. I think he was late for work. In Japan (and America) we say “Safety First”, but usually we put time first and “Safety Second”.
Part of my ear was torn away from my head. A doctor sewed my ear back together. I am sad that people don’t think about safety more.
I am happy to be alive.

WOW, sorry about the accident, but glad you were not hurt worse.
I was going a Book store one afternoon. A car ran me off the road, I had some minor injuries.
I was luvky enough to have gotten part of the license plate of the car and driver…..come to find out it was the manager of the book store….the same book store I was headed to, the same store where I go at least once a week.
Come to find out he was late for work, LOL.
Now he doesnt have a job to be late for.

I think this kid was also late for work. I hope he doesn’t lose his job over this, but he didn’t do anything crazy like fleeing the scene. I was actually hit about 11 years ago in a head on, when a car came across traffic. I had a close call 22 years ago when someone was following less than a meter behind me at night and I hit a rock when I was looking back at the truck. Let’s hope the next one is more than 11 years from now.
