Writer’s Block

September 13, 2010

I am writing an article for a newsletter. I have to write it in Japanese. It must be 1600 characters long. In Japan we often use manuscript paper that has 40 rows and 40 columns. One page of this paper is exactly 1600 characters.

The newsletter is printed by a support group for young people. A lot of support is for youths who have suffered abuse.

I am having trouble writing the article. Mostly, I am having trouble organizing my thoughts. We call this writer’s block.

I hope I can finish it soon.

Have you ever had writer’s block?

Today I told my Tuesday night class about this blog, so I need to start writing again. I am so happy that I brought my pots, pans, and knives to Japan this month. Tonight we used them to make pasta carbonara. It was very tasty. We also made a soup from the latest Kurashi no Techou. It was also very good.

New Magazine

October 4, 2007

Today I bought a magazine called Nagi. It is a local magazine about Mie Prefecture. I liked the article about restaurants in traditional buildings. I love old Japanese buildings. I want to eat at Tsukiakari (月灯り) near Matsusaka Castle.

Another article was about a metalwork artist. She won a national competition. She is a friend of my friend.
