Traffic Accident

In front of school there is a very dangerous road. The road is very narrow, but most drivers go very, very fast on it. Also, there is a stop sign, but many drivers ignore the sign. This morning there was an accident. One car was upside down in a rice field. One wheel was very far away from the accident.

Two or three ambulances came to pull people out of the cars. Still many cars were driving through very fast. I can’t understand.

We say “Safety First” because safety is important, but many people don’t care about safety. This makes me sad.

I hope the people in the cars are OK and get well soon.

Paperwork

One thing I don’t like is paperwork. It takes time away from important tasks. It often serves no purpose. Of course, we all have paperwork for our jobs and our daily lives. It is inescapable. So, we have to be tough and just do it.

In August, while riding my bike, I was hit by a car. Because I had many injuries, I have to spend a lot of time at the doctors’ offices. Also, many things in my life have changed. However, what I hate the most is the extra paperwork.

I get many documents from the insurance company. All of the documents are confusing. Often I send a document away and get another document in return. Sometimes it feels like there is no end to the paperwork.

I hope your paperwork is light. Bills, taxes, loans, bookkeeping, … so many kinds of paperwork.

Accident

Saturday morning I was hit by a car while cycling. The car did not stop before entering the roadway. I think he was late for work. In Japan (and America) we say “Safety First”, but usually we put time first and “Safety Second”.

Part of my ear was torn away from my head. A doctor sewed my ear back together. I am sad that people don’t think about safety more.

I am happy to be alive.
