Lazy Day

September 10, 2011

In America many people work very hard from Monday to Friday. Often they are very tired at the end of the week. Commonly people will have a lazy day on Saturday.

They might sleep in late; get up for brunch at a local restaurant; and go to a park. They might watch TV shows. It is considered a way to refresh.

My Saturday is rarely a lazy day. I study Japanese calligraphy on Saturday’s. My class is in a different city so I have to get up and ride a train. I really enjoy studying calligraphy, but sometimes I want a lazy day on Saturday.

Do you have busy Saturdays or lazy Saturdays?

American Food

March 1, 2009

Friday night I cooked chili. I used ground beef from Matsusaka. The kidney beans and tomato sauce came from Italy. Spices were pre-packaged in America. I wanted to add cinnamon, but I didn’t have any. I served it with cheddar cheese from New Zealand. All of the ingredients were a little expensive.

I served it with a yosedofu salad. The salad had mizuna in it. The dressing was aojiso.

For dessert, I had strawberries, chocolates, and maple cookies.

Saturday I made brunch. I whipped milk into eggs to make fluffy scrambled eggs. I cut up tomatoes and cucumbers to eat with tofu. Also, there was marmalade and toast.
