Mysterious Cats

Cats are considered mysterious in many parts of the world. In ancient Egypt, they even thought cats were like gods.

I really love cats a lot. I think they are a little mysterious, but mostly I think they aren’t mysterious.

They like to be warm. They like to be cuddled. They like to be scratched gently under the chin. They like to be fed. They like to play and exercise.

Who wouldn’t like those things? See, they aren’t so mysterious at all.

They don’t like to be chased, nor teased, nor ignored, nor awakened while dreaming.

Who would like those things? See, they are not so very mysterious at all.

Neighbor Cat

Adjacent to my apartment building is a beautiful garden. Cheetah, a large gray tabby, lives in the garden. I often talk to Cheetah, but I never pet him. He is a friendly cat, but likes to keep his distance. Today I called him to me and he came. I was very surprised. He let me pet him a little. I was very happy.
