American Food

March 1, 2009

Friday night I cooked chili. I used ground beef from Matsusaka. The kidney beans and tomato sauce came from Italy. Spices were pre-packaged in America. I wanted to add cinnamon, but I didn’t have any. I served it with cheddar cheese from New Zealand. All of the ingredients were a little expensive.

I served it with a yosedofu salad. The salad had mizuna in it. The dressing was aojiso.

For dessert, I had strawberries, chocolates, and maple cookies.

Saturday I made brunch. I whipped milk into eggs to make fluffy scrambled eggs. I cut up tomatoes and cucumbers to eat with tofu. Also, there was marmalade and toast.

Resting Up

February 11, 2009

Today was a holiday. Normally I like to go on trips during holidays; however, today I rested a lot. I have been too busy lately and needed a break.

I did laundry and hung it out in the fresh air to dry. The weather was very sunny, but it started to rain in the afternoon.

My food choices were very strange today. I wanted to get rid of old food in the fridge. I made fried eggs, hash browned potatoes with onions, grated Japanese radish, and yakisoba.
