Sleep Like a Log

We have a funny saying in English: sleep like a log.

A log does not move. It just lays on the ground.

If we sleep without moving, we sometimes say, “I slept like a log!”

Last night I was very tired. My futon was very comfortable. I slept all night. I didn’t wake up at all.

Indeed, I slept like a log.

Frosty Morning

Sleeping on my futon, under a down comforter, I was very warm this morning. When I went outside it was very, very cold. I found frost on the car windows. Before I could go to work, I had to scrape all the ice off the car windows.

When I got in the car my hands were numb.

I wonder if it will snow here. Recently there was snow in a neighboring town.

I like snow, but it can be dangerous.
