Old Diaries

Last night I finished reading a book. It was set in Montana in 1909. Now I am reading another book. It is set in Japan.

This book is excerpts from Japanese diaries. The oldest excerpts are from 1000 years ago. The newest excerpts are from the Meiji period. Some of the writers are very famous, like Basho the poet.

It is an interesting way to learn about history from normal people.
