Tonight there was a potlatch at my friend’s home. We often call this kind of party “pot luck”. Every guest brings food. All of the food is served.
At a potlatch there is plenty of food, but nobody has to cook very much.
Everyone ate a lot of food, but there was lots of food leftover. Tomorrow we will eat some of the leftovers for breakfast.
My wife is an excellent cook. Everyone enjoyed her dishes.

Saturday I took a trip to Takasu in Gifu prefecture. There was a party at a condo on Saturday night. About 30 people were there and we had a potlatch dinner. Everyone stayed up very late. I only slept about three hours.
Sunday we went skiing. The weather was very beautiful and the snow condition was good. On the way home there was a traffic jam, so we got home very late.
My back muscles are a little sore today, but I feel pretty good.
