Nature is very amazing. Everyday I see wonderful things in the natural world. One amazing thing is transformation.
A caterpillar can transform into a butterfly. A nymph can transform into a cicada. An acorn can transform into an oak tree. A tadpole can transform into a frog. I think this is fascinating.
In my hometown, large cedar trees would fall down and rot. As they were rotting, many other trees and ferns would grow out of the remains. We called these nurse logs. It was wonderful to see a variety of new life spring up where death had occurred.
